If you're looking for a delightful afternoon adventure, Hans and Lise suggest checking out the Northern Link Road! You can drive up a bit and have a nice, short, easy, and picturesque hike, or just drive the whole way and make some stops to enjoy the views.
The Northern Link road is a scenic route that connects Dominica’s West Coast with Dominica’s East Coast in the North of Dominica - connecting with the Melville Hall – Portsmouth Road at Ruins Blenheim Estate to Savanne Paille, where it joins the Tanetane Road.

It climbs over Morne Aux Diables (2,826ft), meaning "Mountain of the Devils" in Creole, and has stunning views both north to Guadeloupe and Les Saintes, and south across Portsmouth to Morne Espagnol.
The summit is the crater of a dormant volcano; look out for both hot and ‘cold’ volcanic activity.

As you navigate through Saint John Parish, you’ll discover natural wonders like Cold Soufriere and the Bwa Nef Waterfall, along with charming rivers such as the Celestin Brenner River and Aouya River. This route is famous for its steep and winding zig-zags, making it a fantastic adventure for those who love a thrilling drive.

The Northern Link road is situated high in the mountains, and has a refreshing coolness that makes it an ideal place for an enjoyable afternoon hike!.
