Ah, the festive season! As the year comes to a close, we find ourselves immersed in a whirlwind of joyous celebrations, heartfelt reunions, and, of course, indulgent feasts. There is something truly magical about this time of year; it brings together family, friends, and communities in a spirit of love, laughter, and gratitude.

One of the highlights of the festive season is undoubtedly the feast. After all, what better way to celebrate than by gathering around a table filled with delectable dishes and tantalizing treats?

Sunday evening, 8 December, we were honored to celebrate with friends the 15th anniversary of Hotel The Champs; it was a feast. It was an evening shared with great company around a festive table of celebration, a few speeches, and laughter.

Our dear friend, Hermien, who was at the opening of Hotel The Champs 15 years ago, was also at the celebration.

Dr. Stanley (left) stayed at Hotel The Champs when he first came to Dominica.

Dr. Stanley White was a guest who stayed at The Champs when he first came to Dominica in 2009 for a job interview at Ross University, he has made Dominica his home and has become a great friend.

Sutherland & Jessie, and their team from Lacou, made sure we could feast on a meal prepared with locally sourced produce. Thank you, Lacou. And of course, thank you to The Champs staff for the great service and for keeping our glasses full.
