Embrace Your Sense of Adventure.

As we are adventure seekers ourselves, we want our guests to experience as much as possible of the nature island while enjoying a comfortable stay, and of course, we want to offer our guests firsthand information to ensure there are no hiccups. So, not too long ago, Hans and Lise explored segment 12, forming part of the Waitukubuli National Trail.

When you start exploring the Waitukubuli National Trail, you're basically stepping into a world where nature's beauty is on full display. The Waitukubuli National Trail covers a total of about 115 miles from Scott's Head to Capuchin, and Segment 12 in the northeast, offering a mix of beauty and culture that's perfect for hikers and nature lovers.

The trail is in good condition and easy to follow in most areas. It takes a hiker about seven (7) hours to hike this 13.5 km long trail, which is said to be a moderate to difficult hike. Walking this trail, you can find a perfect means to explore and discover the deep rural areas of northern Dominica. It traverses an area that is considered deeply rural Dominica and opens non-traditional tourism communities.

The view of the rugged Atlantic coastline can also be seen while putting on display the dry forest, farmlands and local agriculture, old estate roads, and the culture and traditions associated with village life.
